Message By Honorable Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani

Balochistan is a province blessed with abundant resources ranging from extensive metals corridors  to precious earth metals on one side and from huge landmass ripe for agricultural productivity to vibrant  coast and fisheries on the other. With a view to tap humongous potential resting in about 770 KMs coastline, the current government has embarked upon a series of measures that focus on developing the coastline in an eco friendly, robust and sustainable manner. Accordingly, the BCDA is being strengthened and equipped on modern lines to ensure realisation of an accessible, tourist friendly and environmentally supportive corridor across the coastline of Balochistan. Its heartening to observe that BCDA has equally risen to the occasion by launching massive institutional reforms and taking initiatives that correspond to the vision of our government.Showcasing the potentials of the coastline by developing this website, documentaries and visuals offering virtual tours of these key touristic assets is an important milestone in realising the vision of our government. I congratulate the entire team responsible for this valuable contribution to the province.

Message By Worthy Chief Secretary Balohistan Capt Fazeel Asghar

The Government under the leadership of the honorable Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, embarked upon a number of key initiatives to develop the province and on a fast track basis. This includes a broad range of legal, regulatory and institutional reforms to the identification of developmental activities, resource allocations and opening up the province for private sector investments and partnerships to stimulate the social and economic development. I feel privileged to serve as the Chief Secretary of such a blessed province and to steer the work of this pro-development agenda of the Government which comes with immense clarity in its vision and direction for setting and achieving the strategic objectives, goals and targets. I am delighted that as the first key step, BCDA has been revived as a key authority for coastal development and my team has started to engage with the private sector for soliciting their interest, investments and partnerships and that virtual tours and documentaries have been developed by the BCDA to showcase some of the touristic potentials. I congratulate the team of Mr. Babar Khan, which has worked hard and with dedication to engage with all the stakeholders, initiate developmental initiatives by securing budgetary allocations and for developing these virtual tours, documentaries and this website – various key developments in this rather short period of time! May Allah bless our province.

Message by Director General, BCDA Babar Khan

BCDA is a statutory authority established through an Act passed by the Provincial Assembly in the year 1998 and duly amended in 2003 and 2014. The jurisdiction of the authority starts from high tide waterline with 30km of area upland excluding townships, Gaddani Ship Breaking Yard, defense and other Federal Government installations. The area of responsibility is almost 770km coastal belt if Balochistan. For various reasons the BCDA remained under-utilized in terms of its potential and mandate. The huge assets of Balochistan, particularly the coast-line resultantly remained more or less untapped despite social and economic potentials. I was appointed the Director General by the Government and entrusted to turnaround the Authority and make it a responsive organization in terms of its obligations, to plan and develop the coastline, for the well-being of the people of Balochistan. I am grateful for the interest taken by the Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Jam Kamal Khan Alyani and worthy Chief Secretary Capt. Fazeel Asghar and particularly for the guidance to me on a continuous note and for providing the necessary directions and approvals to various concepts and proposals that I have been submitting to them. I am thankful to the developers and the team led by Muhammad Ibrahim, which assisted in this painstaking job of visiting the sites, videography and developing virtual tours and this website, all in a short period of time. I am also thankful to Nadeem for developing the documentary using these virtual tour videos. While these are important developments and milestone, this is the start. We have also embarked upon developing the master plan for Balochistan’s coastline including around eco-tourism and development of 7 Tourist Resorts at different potential sites, carrying out feasibility study for 08 Fish Landing Sites, plantation of Salicomia at Damb and Jiwani (salt-loving edible plants) and brining in the much-required Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for the development of tourist sites. Long live Balohcistan – Pakistan Zindabad!
