In recent years as the Makran region of coastal Balochistan has gained recognition, it has been the name of Kund Malir beach that has stood out most with travelers making a one way 4-hour journey from Karachi to get here. The boom in popularity of this beach has resulted in some infrastructure in the form of roadside restaurants and a couple of resorts opening on the waterfront to serve the existing and increasing demand for such services.
Added to this is the easy access to the beach, is located right along the Makran Coastal Highway. Furthermore, tour operators now operate tours for groups out of Karachi to the beach offering food, camping, trekking and musical nights amongst other experiences that the area supports.

Kund Malir is also popular for dolphin sightings however, recent years of visitor growth have witnessed fewer dolphins coming closer in towards the coast and therefore, fewer sightings. Like other beaches, Kund Malir does have a good name for viewing some splendid sunrises and sunsets.

As Kund Malir reaches greater levels of popularity, there is a need for responsible behavior from service providers and visitors alike to make sure, it is not littered or its natural beauty is not carelessly harmed.
